Agronomist – Central Kansas
Ag 1 Source is looking for an experienced Agronomist/Crop Consultant to provide technical agronomic support and consulting to producers across Central Kansas. This position will play a key role in helping growers maximize yield, quality, and profitability through sound agronomic recommendations, timely field scouting, and strong producer relationships.

What you will be doing:
- Provide weekly field scouting and agronomic consulting for assigned producer acres.
- Scout fields for weeds, insects, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies.
- Develop timely fertility, crop protection, and production recommendations.
- Prepare field reports documenting observations and recommendations.
- Meet with growers to discuss field conditions, recommendations, and next steps.
- Analyze soil tests and develop fertility recommendations to improve soil health and crop performance.
- Provide recommendations related to seed, fertility, crop protection, and chemical applications.
- Utilize precision agriculture technology and field data to improve agronomic decisions.
- Conduct field trials involving seed varieties, seed treatments, fertility, and crop protection products.
- Maintain strong relationships with current customers while developing new customer relationships.
A successful candidate for this Agronomist position will possess the following:
- Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in crop scouting and field agronomy.
- Experience creating field reports and providing agronomic recommendations.
- Strong fertility, crop protection, and soil health knowledge.
- Precision agriculture experience.
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Compensation: The salary structure will depend on experience and qualifications. The company will offer a competitive base salary along with incentives/bonus opportunities.
