This role will be responsible for

• Planning, directing, and coordinating facility programs and activities to accomplish established business objectives.
• Developing short- and long-term operating plans in partnership with department managers.
• Establishing operating objectives and developing supporting budgets and financial estimates.
• Directing plant operations to achieve budgetary, operational, and growth objectives.
• Safeguarding company funds, physical assets, equipment, and other property.
• Maintaining required financial and environmental records and providing monthly operational reporting.
• Ensuring the physical plant, housekeeping, and overall facility appearance are maintained to established standards.
• Overseeing quality control to ensure final products consistently meet required specifications.
• Organizing and coordinating projects to be completed during scheduled shutdowns.
• Leading the selection, employment, promotion, development, discipline, and termination of facility employees.

Expectations will include

• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to facility employees while creating accountability for performance and results.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and ensure all safety programs, policies, and procedures are consistently followed.
• Respond to and resolve plant emergencies as needed, including providing 24/7 leadership support.
• Monitor industry and technological trends and develop plans to ensure the facility is positioned for future opportunities.
• Evaluate organizational needs and recommend structural changes necessary to support evolving operations.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with government departments, industry organizations, labor unions, and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain a positive company presence within the local community through outreach and educational initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Work effectively within a manufacturing environment that may include moving mechanical equipment, dust, high noise levels, chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, confined spaces, ladders, and elevated work areas.

A qualified candidate will possess the following

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Degree in chemical engineering preferred; relevant education may also include agriculture, business management, milling science, or a related field.
• Previous general management and personnel management experience within a significant business operation, initiative, or company.
• Demonstrated experience managing operational objectives and performance goals.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Thorough understanding of applicable FRA, TTB, and state regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage confined-space entry, climb ladders and steps, work at heights of up to 130 feet, and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening and background check.
