Kris McDermed grew up in southcentral Kansas and graduated from Wesley School of Radiologic Technology in 1995. She worked as a Radiologic Technologist primarily with pediatric patients for 13 years.

In the summer of 2008 Kris joined Ag1Source / Career1Source in a temporary part-time data-entry role. In January of 2009 she went full-time as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Administrative Coordinator in 2015. Kris became a partner with the company in 2014. Over her tenure she has been awarded Employee of the Year numerous times. Kris has also served on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee and is a current member of the Culture and Engagement Committee.

Kris and her husband, Ron, live in Hesston, Kansas where they raised their children. They enjoy spending time with their adult children and family, travelling and most of all embracing their new roles as GiGi and Grandpa GiGi.
