Regional Forage Seed Sales Representative – Eastern U.S. Dairy Market

We’re seeking a Regional Forage Seed Sales Representative to lead sales efforts across the Eastern U.S. dairy market, working directly with dealers, retailers, and private-label partners to drive growth in forage seed sales.
This role combines relationship management, market development, and strategic account growth — ideal for someone who understands agriculture, values hands-on customer engagement, and thrives in a small, collaborative team environment.

This role will be responsible for
- Driving forage seed sales growth through dealers and retail partners across the Eastern U.S.
- Regaining lost market share and re-engaging previous customers
- Managing relationships with private-label partners and distribution networks
- Collaborating with logistics, product, and marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Providing feedback and market insight to internal leadership and product development teams
- Coordinating with the business manager and national sales team to align goals and strategies
- Representing the company at trade shows, industry meetings, and field events
Expectations will include
- Frequent in-person relationship management, with approximately 3 nights of travel per week during the sales season
- Weekly reporting and forecasting during active sales periods
- Monthly sales team meetings with leadership to discuss strategy, performance, and market updates
- Active participation in ongoing training and team collaboration
- Bringing fresh ideas to strengthen dealer relationships and market share
- Balancing account retention with strategic new business development
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- A background in agriculture, agronomy, or animal nutrition (seed experience preferred, but not required)
- Understanding of the dairy industry or forage markets a plus
- Demonstrated sales success with distributors, dealers, or retail partners
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High degree of initiative, organization, and accountability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, fast-moving team
- Willingness to travel regularly and engage directly with customers
- Bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally related field preferred
Ideal Location: Pennsylvania or West Virginia (or central to the Eastern U.S. dairy market)
Target Start Date: January
Interview Process: Three stages — initial interview, sales leadership, and final discussion with executive leadership
