This role will be responsible for
- Leading all accounting and financial functions with a hands-on approach
- Owning month-end, year-end close, and all financial reporting
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining clean, accurate books
- Overseeing and developing a team of administrative/accounting professionals
- Driving margin improvement through analysis, cost control, and business partnership
- Building and managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes
- Partnering with leadership to support operational and strategic decisions
- Evaluating SKU-level profitability and improving product-related financial processes
- Ensuring effective use and optimization of AgVance
- Strengthening internal controls, financial processes, and reporting structure to support growth
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in a Controller, VP Finance, or Accounting role (or ready to step into Controller-level responsibilities)
- CPA required
- Strong technical accounting foundation with the ability to stay hands-on in day-to-day work
- Experience managing financial operations in a small to mid-sized business environment
- Demonstrated ability to improve margins and drive financial performance
- Experience building or improving financial processes and systems
- Experience with AgVance or similar ag-based systems preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the business
Compensation – Will be dependent upon experience, but willing to pay for someone with experience today, targeting $130K base.
