This role will be responsible for
- Leading the strategic direction for all agronomy functions, including crop protection, fertilizer, seed, precision ag, and brand development.
- Driving growth strategies and ensuring competitive, value-driven product and service offerings.
- Overseeing high-level leaders while fostering professional development and succession planning.
- Developing and implementing short- and long-term marketing plans, sales strategies, and brand messaging.
- Partnering with executive leadership to shape overall company strategy and deliver on profitability and growth objectives.
- Championing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all teams.
Expectations will include
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, superior customer service, and safety compliance.
- Analyzing market trends to identify opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Establishing and achieving financial targets, including pricing optimization and resource utilization.
- Representing the organization professionally and upholding its core values in all internal and external interactions.
- Traveling to company locations, industry events, and customer sites as needed.
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- A bachelor’s degree in agronomy, agribusiness, ag marketing, or a related field (advanced education preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing exempt employees and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in agronomy products and services, strategic planning, and marketing leadership.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead through change, inspire collaboration, and deliver measurable business results.
- Proficiency in standard business software and technology tools.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Compensation: This position has a base salary range based on experience and ability, along with a strong incentive program that can take total compensation over $300,000
