Shelby Shaw is originally from Southwest Kansas, Shelby judged livestock in college attending Seward County Community College and Texas Tech University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in agricultural communications and gained professional experience through internships with Plains Cotton Cooperative Association and the American Angus Association. Shelby used the communications and marketing portions of her degree working for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, the Salina Bicentennial Center, and Pine Village. Prior to Ag1Source, she worked for OTR Global conducting agricultural research on publicly traded ag companies.

Shelby joined the Ag1Source team in 2024. She enjoys visiting with agriculture people from across the U.S. and helping them in the next steps of their career journey.

Shelby and her husband, Landon, live in central Kansas with their two sons. The family operates a cow/calf and stocker operation in the midst of their boys’ 4-H stock shows, sports and other activities. Shelby serves on the local fair board, 4-H livestock sale committee, the county planning and zoning board, and is involved in Farm Bureau.
