In this Vice President of Grain role, you will lead a team dedicated to redefining grain management and marketing. What you will be doing:

• Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the Grain Department, including grain merchandisers and originators, to achieve Ag Plus’s vision and business values. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping a positive work culture and ensuring outstanding customer service.
• Operational Management: Oversee elevator operations, manage transportation, storage volumes, and participate in federal and state grain warehouse examinations. Your strategic decision-making will ensure smooth and efficient grain trading.
• Risk Management and Merchandising: Play a key role in managing the risk of the overall grain inventory and cash grain position to maximize profitability. Develop and implement grain marketing programs, educating producers on using grain options strategies.
• Supervisory and Policy Development: Supervise a diverse team, developing departmental and harvest policies in collaboration with the CEO. You will be responsible for setting and communicating grain department policies and ensuring adherence to position limit rules.

A successful candidate for this VP of Grain Division position will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong business acumen and professionalism.
• We need someone who understands the grain business also not afraid to work with someone early/mid career who wants to move their career up and is seeking their next challenge.

Compensation: Will depend on experience but targeting $125-$175K base salary, there is a nice bonus structure for this role.
