Territory Sales Representative

Ag 1 Source is working with an organization to find a Sales Representative to expand their business with Ag retailers and crop consulting organizations in the Delta Region. The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new relationships, growing brand recognition, and growing sales of their products and services throughout the territory, while continuing to partner with existing customers. This is not your typical product, you will not be selling seed, chem, biologicals, etc. but this is a service to make all those decisions easier to make. Really neat company that is growing and seeking someone with strong Ag Retail and crop consultants network in the Delta/Mid-South.

What you will be doing:

  • Build customer relationships and achieve sales targets by understanding their business needs.
  • Identify key influencers within the customer locations and develop an action plan to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify innovative solutions that support the accounts products and services, leading to improved customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for leading monthly business reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for working with the Customer Success team to track and document customer ROI.

A successful candidate for this Territory Sales position will possess the following:

  • Minimum 5+ years prior experience in a Sales role with demonstrated success in revenue responsibility.
  • Education – Hold a BS degree in Business, Agronomy or related field.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within the region.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for working with customers.
  • Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills.
  • Passion for the agriculture industry and innovative technologies.
  • Excellent communications skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Compensation: A competitive compensation package is provided with base salary and commissions.

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, 401(k), and equity.

Desired Location: This position will primarily focus on retail and consultant partners in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Western Tennessee and Southeast Missouri. Someone could live in those regions as long as they were willing to travel up and down that Mid-South Territory.
