Technical Sales Representative

Ag 1 Source is looking for a technical sales representative for a well-established organic crop inputs company to manage and grow an existing table grape portfolio in the Southern San Joaquin Valley and lead market expansion in Peru. This is an excellent opportunity for an agronomic sales professional with a passion for organically based crop inputs and international collaborations.

What you will be doing:

• Expand the existing portfolio of growers and sales volume in the California market
• Work with the Peru market to grow the footprint of the company’s product lines
• Establish a pipeline for growth in both existing and new markets
• Demonstrate the effectiveness and return on investment for the company’s product lines
• Travel at least two times per year to Peru
• Market year-round fertility products instead of as-needed product sales

A successful candidate for this Technical Sales Representative position will possess the following:

• An understanding and passion for organic production practices
• A working knowledge of biological products and how they bring benefit to the soil and the crop
• Ability to make both product specification and sales presentations to a diverse customer base
• BS in agricultural production or equivalent agricultural production experience
• PCA and/or CCA license a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
• Previous work in agricultural production a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel throughout the territory and internationally at least twice per year

Compensation: This company offers a competitive base salary in the $80,000 – $95,000 range, commissions, and bonuses based upon individual performance

Desired Location: This is a remote position but must be able to regularly cover the Southern San Joaquin Valley and travel twice annually to Peru
