Swine Consultant

A well-established, Christian based, U.S. company is looking for a self-motivated, driven, Swine Consultant to GROW and manage current relationships and industry partners with large direct-to-end-user portfolio of products, also, to expand the market presence in the Midwest with a sole focus on swine industry leading productions systems of the region. What you will be doing:

  • This position will be responsible for maintaining and increasing consulting revenue volume with established accounts and aggressively seeking new clients.
  • Key focus on new business growth – building relationships with new swine system operations.
  • Cold calling and prospecting every day.
  • Provide overall growth strategy within the region.
  • Primary travel in MN, SD, NE, ND states.

A successful candidate for the Swine Consultant position will possess the following:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 years of high performing operations and/or outside sales experience in the swine industry, directly with large family and integrated production systems.
  • You should have strong previous input and output experience as it relates to swine operations COP with commodity pricing experience platforms of high value, in your most recent career stop.
  • A solid overall swine industry operations knowledge in the areas of feeds & nutrition, animal health, buildings/equipment, labor, and overall cost of production analysis background a real plus.
  • We need a swine industry passionate, outgoing, hard-working person who has top-notch communication and sales skills, a strong desire to succeed, and proven ability.
  • Will need to be able to travel every day from our office location.
  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree min (MS degree preferred) in Animal Science, Ag Business or Ag Econ., and 10 years of proven high-performance experience.

Compensation: This position is a salary plus strong bonus program, uncapped with plenty of upward opportunity.

Desired Location: The Swine Consultant will need to be located in Eastern SD or Central MN at one of our office locations.
