What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading all food safety, USDA regulatory, and compliance efforts across our high-capacity beef harvesting and packing facility
  • Serving as the primary liaison with USDA inspectors and ensuring all operations remain in full compliance with federal regulations
  • Overseeing accurate product labeling, claims, and documentation to meet internal and third-party certification standards
  • Managing HACCP programs, SOPs, and internal audit readiness; troubleshooting issues with both calm and clarity
  • Collaborating with plant staff, from floor workers to executive leadership, to train and coach on best food safety practices
  • Keeping a cool head and level voice during audits, recalls, or any unexpected issues—grace under pressure is non-negotiable
  • Juggling multiple priorities and deadlines without letting the details slip through the cracks
  • Bringing levity and professionalism to your team—you’re someone who can smile while ensuring zero-tolerance compliance

Qualifications:

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in food safety and compliance, ideally within beef or meat processing
  • Strong working knowledge of USDA FSIS regulations, HACCP principles, labeling standards, and third-party audit requirements
  • Degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Ag Business, or related field preferred (but experience counts too)
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with both regulatory agents and plant personnel
  • Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and a natural multi-tasker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A sense of humor, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations
  • Certified in HACCP preferred, additional certifications a plus

Compensation: $90,000
