We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our grass-fed beef processing plant.

What you will be doing:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and staff. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
• Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that includes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition to support production goals.
• Equipment Reliability: Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising safety or quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections as required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on maintenance needs and priorities. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures or other maintenance-related issues. Act as a key point of contact during emergencies to coordinate quick and effective responses.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in maintenance processes and technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to enhance maintenance operations.

A successful candidate for this Senior Maintenance Manager will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the food or meat processing industry.
• Strong understanding of maintenance management systems, equipment reliability, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in maintenance management software and tools (e.g., CMMS, ERP systems).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and lead teams effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
