Ranch Manager

Texas ranch is looking for a dedicated individual to manage our cattle operation. The qualified person needs to be well rounded and a self-starter. They will need experience calving heifers and cows, irrigating and haying, maintaining and building fences, and managing other projects around the ranch. This manager will need to work with minimal supervision and be able to supervise another employee or two. The ability to manage time efficiently and work with a sense of urgency is critical to this position.

What you will be doing:

• Oversight of all ranch operations, facilities, personnel, and budget
• Recommending and implementing advanced ranch, livestock, and range management techniques and technologies
• Communicating with the owner on key priorities and progress towards the achievement of important goals
• Continual focus on improving the efficiency of the ranch from every aspect

A successful candidate for this Ranch Manager will possess the following:

• Self-Starter
• Cow/Calf experience
• Experience fixing/maintaining fence, equipment, and pivots
• Aggressive at completing tasks
• Computer literate with cattle management software
• Experience feeding, doctoring, tagging calves

Compensation: $90,000
