Production Support Engineer
We are seeking a Production Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our internal software systems that support both our insurance and commodity brokerage operations. This role focuses on backend system monitoring, bug triage, and coordinating fixes in collaboration with our development team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working within a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:
- Monitor internal applications and backend processes to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
- Investigate, triage, and document software bugs; collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
- First point of contact for support issues with company software.
- Validate pipeline runs (e.g., Azure Data Factory), track performance metrics, and identify anomalies or failures.
- Maintain production support documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist with post-deployment checks, release validation, and rollback coordination when needed.
- Support incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and follow-up action tracking.
- Communicate system health and bug status clearly to the Product Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in the product development lifecycle.
- Recommend process improvements to increase reliability and streamline production workflows.
A successful candidate will possess the following:
- 2+ years of experience in a software operations, production support, or similar backend-facing role.
- SQL skills for investigating and validating backend data issues.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar cloud-based data processing tools.
- Familiarity using Azure DevOps or equivalent platforms for managing code deployments and task tracking.
- Solid problem-solving skills and self-motivated to work independently on incident resolution.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and responsiveness.
Compensation: $90,000
