North American Commercial Lead

Ag1Source is partnered with a leading organization that is advancing technology throughout production ag, the professional sports industry, and non-ag commercial manufacturing. They are seeking a leader to oversee the sales team, technical services team, and the expansion of their products in North America. They see the ag sector as their largest growth opportunity and are therefore seeking an individual with an ag industry background. This is a vital role for this global organization, and therefore, it reports directly to the CEO. This is a remote role that will ideally be based in the Midwest, with the candidate living in a market with easy access to an airport to minimize travel time and challenges.

Objectives

  • Increase the company’s market share and development by identifying business opportunities, such as new partnerships, markets or mergers.
  • Lead the US team to success
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to drive business development and drive the brand

Responsibilities

  • Set the mid- and long-term strategy for the North American market
  • Define and pursue new Business Development opportunities to grow a profitable portfolio of customers
  • Lead, motivate, monitor performance and support the sales team leads
  • Staying in touch with the market by e.g. fostering relationships with key channel partners, negotiating and overseeing large contracts, attending major trade shows and identifying new opportunities is key.
  • Annual forecasting, P&L and budget responsible for North America
  • Work together with the Global functional Leads (Marketing, Technical Service and Operations) to develop strategies and support the Product Leads to develop and promote new solutions

Skills, competencies & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
  • Five or more years of proven previous experience as a sales leader, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience in leading teams and have excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Agriculture Industry expertise
  • Proven experience in Channel Management, Consultative and Solution selling
  • Commercial savvy, proficiency in building business relationships, business acumen
  • Excellent knowledge of Office/Google packages (PP, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to use a CRM system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: $180K range

Desired Location: Must live within the Central Standard Time Zone
