New Product Business Development and Sales – Nebraska & Kansas

Ag 1 Source is looking for a sales representative/business development rep to work with Growers, Retailers, and Distribution partners to launch a seed coating nanotechnology line to complement the company’s existing liquid products that increase plant uptake to improve the performance of crop inputs. This role will grow sales by educating growers, retail agronomy organizations, crop consultants, on how your products with help them reduce costs and improve both yields and harvest quality. Focus for the launch of this product line will be in either Kansas or Nebraska. This is a growing company that is very family friendly, and the package includes a strong base salary and a very aggressive commission structure.

What you will be doing:

  • Cultivate relationships with key retailers and growers leading to product sales
  • Engage with strategic demonstration farms to setup test plots and trials to demonstrate product efficacy
  • Provide reliable estimates and forecasts of future sales for company projections
  • Work with your network of farmers in the area to create demand
  • Identify the best partners throughout this region

A successful candidate for this Sales Rep role will possess the following:

  • 5-7 years working experience in ag sales or business development in specialty crops or row crops
  • Strong specialty crop background would be helpful with specific knowledge of key influencers and growers in that market
  • Excellent relationship management experience with retail organizations in the region, with a good understanding of their businesses and goals
  • A history of working seamlessly with marketing, manufacturing, finance, to establish and implement strategies and initiatives
  • The ability to work from home and travel the geography of the territory

Compensation: The base salary range for this role will depend on the candidate’s qualifications with a commission of 10% on all new sales
