Horticultural Operations Manager

Ag 1 Source is looking for a Horticultural Operations Manager to step into a growing and well established business to oversee their wholesale center and overall operational oversight of their Wholesale division at this location. You will report to the General Manager and have roughly 5 full-time direct report. This will oversee a horticultural plant facility, so seeking someone who has a passion for plants as well as great customer service and management skills.

What you will be doing:

• Overseeing the wholesale division, which includes sales, operational efficiency, quality and driving growth
• Container plants is this locations specialty, working to increase quality and grow business with current key customers
• Lead, mentor and manage office activities
• Managing inventory and employees
• Work directly with customers to make sure their needs are met
• Comply with industry regulations
• Recruit and train employees
• Continue to build on the culture of collaboration, innovation and customer service.
• Develop sales growth and customer retention strategies

A successful candidate for this Horticultural Operations Manager will possess the following:

• A strong horticultural or agricultural background – we need someone passionate about plants!
• Strong leadership traits – preferably someone who has perhaps managed a team/landscape crew or other ag crews
• Someone who likes to solve problems and bring new ideas
• Strong sense of detail and organization
• Excellent communicatory

Compensation: Targeting around $65K but will depend on experience and could be higher for the right person. Additional bonuses are available.
