Grain Manager – Central Iowa

What you will be doing:

• Managing the risk and profitability of the grain division
• Expand the volume of business for the organization by leveraging existing relationships and developing new connections
• Help your customers improve their operations with advice and proprietary information to make better decisions
• Creating and leveraging existing relationships both internally and externally
• Establish and implement grain policies/programs to ensure competitiveness in the trade area

A successful candidate for the Grain Manager will possess the following:

• A passion for building lasting relationships with both internal operations and customers
• The skills to properly manage risk vs. commodities while also maintaining margins for profitability
• A strong understanding of trading grain
• Experience supervising the logistics of a trucking fleet
• The ability to identify strengths and opportunities in the market
• Listening to customer needs and the ability to influence and help customers to make optimal decisions
• Strong listening skills to carefully and effectively appreciate unique customer needs
• Oral communication, writing, and interpersonal skills

Compensation: Compensation is based on experience, existing relationships, and overall market potential. A candidate can earn a salary between $100,000 – $125,000.
