We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Fuel Trader to join a high-performing Alcohol Sales team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead fuel alcohol marketing and sales initiatives, oversee key logistics functions, and work cross-functionally to drive customer success and operational excellence.

This role will be responsible for
- Leading the marketing and sales of fuel alcohol products across multiple channels.
- Developing and managing strategic relationships with critical fuel alcohol customers.
- Overseeing logistics including barge and railcar coordination, terminal operations, and export sales.
- Managing customer and product inventories, material balance, and transportation between plants.
- Keeping detailed and up-to-date sales records in CRM systems and generating competitive analysis.
- Monitoring railcar and barge movements, utilization, and servicing to ensure timely delivery.
- Reporting market developments, competitor activity, and customer insights to leadership.
Expectations will include
- Cross-functional collaboration with departments including logistics, transportation, sales admin, commodities, and quality.
- Generating rail-rate sheets and customer rail demurrage reports to support competitive offers.
- Supporting the opening of domestic rail transfer warehouses and managing vessel export logistics.
- Actively participating in trade associations to stay connected with market trends and industry standards.
- Proactively communicating issues that may affect customers to the leadership team.
- Traveling up to 20% to maintain and grow customer relationships and attend industry events.
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business administration, agribusiness, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ethanol, energy, or wet milling industries.
- Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies within commodity markets.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales data and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- High proficiency with ERP, CRM, and related software tools.
- A self-starter mindset with strong time management and performance-driven focus.
Compensation: $145K+ DOE
