This role will be responsible for
- Creating and executing a unified sales and marketing strategy that drives revenue and market share
- Leading and developing the sales team, ensuring accountability and high performance
- Providing strategic direction and oversight for all marketing initiatives and brand messaging
- Overseeing both dealer and direct-to-farmer sales channels, ensuring alignment and growth
- Conducting market and competitor analysis to inform strategy and product positioning
- Managing key performance indicators and aligning initiatives with financial goals
- Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, product, and leadership teams
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, dealers, and industry stakeholders
Expectations will include
- Delivering annual plans with defined objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Coaching sales managers and marketing staff to maximize team impact and development
- Driving brand differentiation and customer engagement through integrated campaigns
- Representing the sales and marketing perspective in executive decision-making forums
- Tracking sales and marketing performance to optimize strategies and drive ROI
- Identifying market expansion opportunities and supporting product innovation initiatives
- Attending industry events and customer meetings to promote brand visibility
- Ensuring exceptional customer service and issue resolution across all touchpoints
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, agriculture, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Proven success developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, preferably in the agriculture or seed industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Deep knowledge of agricultural markets, dealer networks, and direct-to-farmer channels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Strategic, data-driven thinker with strong analytical capabilities
- Flexibility to travel regularly to support field operations and customer engagement
- A passion for agriculture and a commitment to customer success
