This role will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing relationships with potential acquisition targets, often family-owned businesses
- Conducting financial analysis including investment return evaluations, accretion/dilution analysis, and valuation models (DCF, comps)
- Selecting targets using established KPIs and strategic fit criteria
- Managing comprehensive due diligence efforts across all business functions
- Supporting the preparation of board materials and investment committee presentations
- Leading market research and competitive analyses to inform strategy
- Creating and executing strategic planning initiatives to drive acquisitive growth
Expectations will include:
- Establishing trust-based relationships with target company owners and executives
- Executing high-quality analysis to assess and prioritize acquisition opportunities
- Coordinating with internal teams, investors, and external advisors during deal execution
- Communicating strategic rationale and financial implications of transactions
- Keeping leadership informed with clear, concise, and insightful reporting
- Representing the company with professionalism, credibility, and integrity
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience (investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A, strategy consulting, or Big 4 transactional services)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal savvy, especially in founder-led business environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Self-starter mentality with a team-first attitude and strong leadership potential
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Compensation: Compensation will include an aggressive base salary, deal based bonuses and equity.
