Dairy Territory Sales Manager
An industry leading, privately held, progressive regional nutrition company is looking for a go-getter, self-motivated individual to add into their growing dairy team, with the goal of expanding the current dairy footprint of sales territory in the Maryland Virginia region.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Dairy Territory Sales Manager position you should possess 5+ years of outside sales experience with dairy feed or animal health, directly with customers and through dealer service centers, have ration balancing experience and love problem solving on dairy farms. A strong overall dairy production knowledge in the areas of nutrition, health, milk flow, parlor and feed bunk management, would be a real plus. This position will be responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volume with established accounts and aggressively seeking new customers. We need an outgoing, hard working person who has top-notch communication and sales skills, a strong desire to succeed, and the ability to travel every day in the region, visiting farms, from a home base of operations. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science and five successful years of sales within the livestock nutrition or supplies/pharma industry.

What you will be doing:
- Ongoing customer business relationship focus, with some new business development where leveraging current industry network and contact relationships will be critical.
- Build greater partnerships with any current customers in the territory through regular sales calls and participation in industry meetings to ensure alignment on business strategy.
- Major contributor to the growth of the Atlantic Coast Regional sales strategy, including timely and thorough market intelligence and taking responsibility for personal development.
- Maintain close relationship with marketing, technical sales support staff and customer service to secure alignment on business strategy.
- Professionally represent the company brand at all times by adhering to the highest ethical standards.
A successful candidate for this Dairy Territory Sales Manager job will possess the following:
- 5+ years of PROVEN sales performance and experience in the dairy industry within the region.
- Prefer a masters degree in ruminant nutrition, but a BS in Dairy Sci., with On Farm experience and passion for the industry will be good.
- Some level of knowledge and contacts within the dairy consulting nutritionists, DVM’s and other feed decision makers at the dairy systems in the region.
Compensation: Compensation will be in the $80k range, plus bonus opportunity.

Desired Location: The preferred location for the Dairy TSM is in the MD or VA area.
