What you will be doing:

• Supporting the corporate development function best practice implementation engagements across the PE portfolio companies across the US.
• Supporting portfolio company corporate development functions by executing on valuation analyses, due diligence processing, and assisting with the close.
• Working with management to identify portfolio company value creation opportunities, developing scopes and project plans, and executing against said plans in partnership with management teams.
• Partnering with the Chief Business Development Officer to help develop content for educating and training portfolio corporate development teams and ultimately driving activity and performance.
• Continually engaging with key stakeholders both within the private equity firm proper and their investments across the US.

A successful candidate for this Corporate Development Associate position will possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience with prior experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance preferred.
• Strong analytic and business process orientation with the ability to dig into detailed financial and operating information and identify trends, improvement opportunities, and strategic implications.
• Exceptional communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data insights in a concise manner, including presentations to key stakeholders (PE investment team, PortCo management teams, prospective add-on sellers, etc.)
• Willingness to travel 1 – 2 days every other week.

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with skills and experience and will be comprised of a base salary and a bonus based on the ability to achieve jointly defined goals and expectations. Targeted total compensation will fall somewhere in the mid $100 range.
