This role will be responsible for:
- Driving sales and business development efforts in the California agricultural market.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with growers, distributors, and industry partners.
- Providing expert agronomic support and tailored recommendations for customers.
- Conducting field visits, product demonstrations, and grower meetings to showcase solutions.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
Expectations will include:
- Achieving sales targets and contributing to overall revenue growth.
- Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of biological products, soil health, and crop management.
- Collaborating with marketing and product development teams to align with customer needs.
- Attending industry trade shows, conferences, and events to expand market presence.
- Traveling within the South East (25-50%) to engage with customers and industry stakeholders.
A qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry Knowledge – 3-5 years of experience in agricultural sales, agronomy, or sustainable farming solutions.
- Sales Acumen – Proven ability to build relationships, drive sales, and meet revenue goals.
- Technical Expertise – Strong understanding of crop production, soil health, and biological inputs.
- Communication Skills – Excellent presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Mobility – Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across the South East as needed.
Compensation: Up to $120K base, uncapped commissions
