Alga BioSciences is an agricultural technology company dedicated to transforming animal agriculture through sustainable innovation. Our breakthrough seaweed-based feed additive naturally reduces methane emissions from cattle, improving both environmental outcomes and herd performance. As we expand into new markets, we’re seeking our first Sales Representative to pioneer growth in Idaho and Montana. This role offers the opportunity to lead territory development, shape go-to-market strategy, and grow into a leadership position as the sales team expands.

We’re looking for a proven ag sales professional with deep relationships and a track record of success in launching or scaling new products.

  • Established network with feedyards, ranches, and nutritionists in Idaho and Montana
  • Previous experience with new product launches or startup commercialization
  • Strong knowledge of feed, nutrition, or animal health sales cycles
  • Excellent presentation and consultative selling skills
  • Ability to manage and report territory progress through CRM and weekly updates

PERFORMANCE PROFILE

What is expected of them, and do they have the experience to do it?
As the first sales hire for Alga BioSciences, you will have both autonomy and ownership of your territory. You’ll lead the sales process—from market education to account growth—while partnering closely with leadership to shape the overall sales framework.

  • Develop and execute a territory growth plan focused on Idaho and Montana
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard early adopter customers
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support field trials and client success stories
  • Provide weekly updates on market feedback, wins, and process improvements
  • Build a sales pipeline capable of supporting future team growth
  • Position yourself for advancement as the company expands its sales organization
